Everyone is searching
Searching for something, someone, or someplace
Some are searching for joy
With a bigger better toy
Some are looking for peace
Wanting to take their ease
Some are looking for fame
Seeking recognition for their name
Some are looking for silver and gold
Something tangible to hold
Some are looking for companionship
Jumping from relationship to relationship
Some are looking for acceptance
Seeking an invitation to the dance
Some are looking for fulfillment
Adding accomplishment to accomplishment
Some are looking for security
To dispel their vulnerability
Some are looking for a home
A place to no longer roam
Some are looking for they know not what
Searching to fill that empty spot
