Thank God Jesus is liberal! There comes to mind the woman taken in adultery (the very act!), the woman at the well (five husbands! Gasp!), the thief on the cross (caught red-handed!), and a bleeding, dying Savior hanging on a cross pleading for forgiveness for those who put Him there! A gentle, humble Jesus who said, "Let the children come unto me for of such is the kingdom of heaven." A Savior who never saw a sinner he didn't love enough to die for! A Savior who said, "Come unto me all you who labor and are heavy-laden, and I will give you rest" (not bothering to check to see if they had worked hard enough or to check their credentials!) "Take my yoke upon you and learn of me for I am meek and lowly in heart, and you shall have rest for your souls."

What in heaven's name describes a liberal if these do not!! And it also describes a great heart full of love (not vengeance) for weak, poor, trembling people (like you and me) who have nowhere else to go. Praise God for the great, glowing heart of Jesus our Lord! Let every knee bow and every heart hail Him, Lord of Lords and King of Kings!
