Light of the World.

Jesus was persecuted so that we would be saved; yet so many refused to accept Him as their savior. Many say that Jesus was a wonderful man, a prophet, a great teacher. Christians know Him as their Savior.

Without Jesus we would all be lost.
When Jesus died he bore the sins of the world. He took them upon Himself. By His blood we are healed, restored, redeemed, delivered and made whole.

The battle was won on Calvary when Jesus died.
The battle is not with Satan but with ourselves.
Without faith it’s impossible to please God.
It’s our faith encrypted by the blood of Jesus that makes us complete.

As Christians we are a light to the rest of the world. They are watching us to see what we are doing.

Jesus said in Matthew 5:13-16 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled by men. You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”

In many cases we are the only witness to Christ that many may ever see. By no means are we perfect, for we are far from perfection. We make mistakes every day of our lives. It takes a humble and sincere heart to go before the Lord each day. He allows us to wake up to repent, ask for forgiveness and glorify Him in all that we do. In all things give thanks to the Most High God. He alone is worthy to be praised.

The Lord needs us to carry His message to the rest of the world. He needs people who aren’t afraid to speak the truth in boldness and in love. Love covers a multitude of sins. Jesus always operated in love. We must operate in love without judgmental Sinicism.

Remember when the lady was caught in the act of adultery, and Jesus said to her accusers “ye who is without sin, cast the first stone.” All walked away, for all had sinned. Jesus said to her, “lady go and sin no more.” I wondered if she had ever been called a lady before. That’s how we are supposed to be with one another. By doing so, many will be drawn to the true light of the world, “Jesus Christ.”

The world has started to persecute Christians. These are trivial times. Our faith will be tested. The word of God is our sword and we must use it at times. It is all that we have and by far all that we need. The battle is not ours, but the Lord’s. The battle is won.

Live your lives for the glory of God. By doing so, we will accomplish everything that God put us here to do. We will live out the purpose that God has ordained for us. We were created for purpose, to glorify the most high God.
