Sin is bad and poisonous, when God warns about sin it is not for His own sake but ours, to help us remain the children of light, remaining within the protective hedge of His marvelous light, to protect us from the wiles and cunningly wicked acts and poisoned arrows of our adversary and accuser, the one who hates us with ‘perfect’ hatred.

Sin is sin and it is bad as we know, isn’t it? Why is it then described as pleasurable?

What is sin really and why is it so wrong? …Sin is wrongdoing and going against God's commandments and statutes

When we sin who do we offend, society, man or God?

Who is sin committed against...sin in actual fact is committed against self on the long run because the temple of God has been put in our care to use it wisely and respectfully in every aspect of daily living.

Thank God for the study of God’s word, especially the corporate type, it is inspirational to a writer's flow to be involved in such on a regular basis.

I started thinking in-depth about this gapping abyss that often entraps even the strongest, most principled, ethical, upright and most decent of men (And am talking about human beings here, not the male gender alone), this dark whirlpool hole called sin, that sucks it’s victims down into the “bottomless pit”, after one of such corporate study of the word of God.

Apostle Paul (Romans 7) warred daily in the spirit, the flesh striving always to overpower and crush the spirit that this apostle-and-chosen-one of God had covenanted back to his maker

The first reaction and stand that we take as onlookers is the stance of judge and jury about a person who has been “caught” in the act of obvious sin, how about the not so obvious ones, the ones the Bible refers to as the sins that beset, the type often that no one else knows about except the Almighty who sees not the countenance nor the expression on the face but THE HEART

How about those things that make us privately go running back (That is if we still allow the Holy Spirit to prick that conscience) into our closet daily or even every hour begging and groaning in the spirit for forgiveness from the FATHER of all creation asking for strength each hour to beat that weakness

A friend of mine has the habit of saying… “The devil is a very wicked devil”, sounds like stating the obvious, isn’t it?
Each day I understand better why we need to always be reminded of this very obvious fact, not only is he wicked but he is also a cunning master strategist who hunts it’s prey with precise information that he puts to use till such a one is thoroughly entrapped! Destination HELL.

I have a renewed respect for Joseph (….of the coat of many colors fame, Jacob’s son in Bible times) when he was sold into slavery by his brethren, he did not dwell in self-pity nor did he remain in hate of these ones for life! He moved on with walking into his destiny and every situation good or bad that he found himself in.

Further more, he had a great temptation to associate with his master’s wife which he declined and FLED from (she offered herself on a plate to him), in a normal situation any other person in such a position would have thought seriously about accepting such a once in a lifetime opportunity that will raise him immediately far above his not-so very-nice circumstance at that moment (helping God to quicken things in his destiny’s path) grabbing such a golden chance with both hands, tightly too.

This sort of opportunity would have been very pleasurable indeed coming with benefits too!

Jesus asked the woman who was caught and about to be stoned to death for adultery, “Woman, where are your accusers? Go! And sin no more”.
….2Chronicles 7:12
We need the help of the most high when our weaknesses take over our being like Apostle Paul struggled with…Romans 7:14-25 and David in Psalm 51 groaned for help and renewal of the spirit.

Verse 24- Oh wretched man that I am! Who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

It is God alone that can deliver from the weakness of the flesh.
