WHY IS IT SO DIFFICULT TO GIVE GOD THE GLORY?

I was watching one of those re-enactments of a true life experience on television; the story starts off with a lady who starts describing her experience in a tornado where she escapes unscathed and the raging weather left in it’s wake, debris in mounds where there were once beautiful well laid out homes.

Looking all around her she could not make out how her family of two children and a husband could survive as they were nowhere to be found.

Eventually, with the help of diligent firemen her entire family was pulled out unscathed from underneath very heavy metals combined with wood and other broken furniture –protected by an old mattress which had shielded them like a protective umbrella

Tearfully she described the experience and put it all down to “something” out there watching over them and with the evidence of the china and other delicate personal stuff that she inherited from her dead Grandma which did not get destroyed; she finally concluded that her “dead” grandmother was watching over them all.

I think about so many other stories of this sort and how usually people find it difficult or just completely refuse to give GOD THE GLORY.

Even in the case of some Christians, to show appreciation for what God has done is to speak elegantly with well-put-together or carefully chosen words that leave out the name of Jesus and God but to use words like SUPREME BEING or A HIGHER POWER or FORCE…etc.
I wonder ever so often how we as God’s creation got to this stage of pride, intellectualism and fear-of-being-seen and probably ostracized as different or even labeled as ‘Jesus freak’.

Satan is truly cunning and deceptive, he knows where each person or nation is weak and he uses such to derail gradually from the concept of God; he then moves in for the kill.

Pride got the devil sent out from heaven, that place of peace and eternal beauty.
Roaming the earth angrily looking for whom to devour,
leaving in his stride wickedness, sadness and destruction with cunningness, he strategises every second from age to age adapting to every type of technology and mindset just so to drag the whole human race willingly or unwillingly to hell with him.

It is time, especially for the church to take a stand and give honor and glory to who honor is due.

Many Nations' laws and statutes are tending towards compromising sin or out rightly accommodating what God hates.

The gospel is very clear and His word says that if we are ashamed of him ‘before’ human beings HE SHALL BE ASHAMED OF US BEFORE HIS FATHER IN HEAVEN!
