I have always been a writer as far back as I can remember, sitting at my old Royal typewriter writing nonfiction short stories as a child. In adulthood, I took to avid journaling, documenting my walk with Christ. The Lord changed the direction of my writing after our son was born. My husband, David, and I are parents to Daniel, now age 10, who is autistic. I have felt a strong and undeniable call on my life to chronicle our journey with him through writing. My writing style can best be described as devotional in nature as I draw out spiritual lessons learned through everyday experiences. I am a fierce advocate for my son, his voice, and his greatest cheerleader. He is the strongest person I know. I am currently writing a devotional-style book for mothers parenting children with autism. With God's blessing, it is my prayer that my writing will inspire other families affected by this challenging disability, and that I could be a witness to the saving work of Jesus Christ, to the glory of His name.
