The FaithWriters' yearly conference is unique. Certainly, it offers a whole range of workshops for writers of all skill levels and genres, taught by dynamic speakers. But this conference goes much deeper than that--it nurtures the whole writer, spiritually, physically, creatively, and emotionally through prayer, fun, and fellowship with like-minded writers. It is with great regret that we have had to make the very hard decision to cancel the 2008 FaithWriters’ US Conference, due to lack of support.
After the success of the 2007 conference, and the exceptionally positive feedback from that event, the plans for the Nashville conference were made with a mind to accommodating the anticipated growth, as well as meeting some of the suggestions made by people in the lead up to the 2007 conference.
In hindsight, it’s obvious that this was not the right direction for the conference at this point in time. Given the lack of response to date, it would be poor stewardship of our resources and economically unwise to proceed beyond this point.
We apologize sincerely to the 22 people who did register for the conference. We thank you for your support and will arrange for your checks to be returned as soon as possible.
FaithWriters.com will not be able to provide any financial compensation for any other expenses incurred by those who registered.
I was so looking forward to seeing each of you and I am greatly disappointed.
