Another day, the world goes on
Unaware that someone is gone
Just yesterday a boy was there
With dreams of drums now in death's snare
A mother left without her son
Another day, the world goes on
He kept his distance, his own space
Now remembered a smiling face
Many were touched by his short life
So many grieved by deathly strife
Another day, the world goes on
There's empty space where he belongs
An empty space where he should stand
Why he died I don't understand
So much left unseen, life foregone
Another day, the world goes on
