ROMANS 7:16-18
If then i do that which i would not, I consent unto the law that it is good.
Now then it is no more I that do it,but sin that dwelt in me.
For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelt no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
He manifests in various forms at times as an angel of light
His job is to kill, steal and to destroy.
The temptation since creation
Has been the stronghold of man
And the problems have been manifold
They zoom in to envelope your very soul
Sometimes creeping quietly and at times:
they are disregarding and loud
In all imaginable and unimaginable ways
they stealth into human life
The tempter is his name,
He is present in that word that you speak
and the one that is spoken to you
that friend that can manipulate, he manipulates
that spouse that proclaims undying love today
can be your undoing when under influence
The one who says he is a relative
is worst than a foe when the tempter strikes
Mother, father, sister or brother
no-one can escape his evil manipulation
it is diabolical and cruel
Blame not the one who has declared that
you are to him hated and despicable of no worth,
He is under influence and not of himself
doing the bid of the one who indwells him
It is the very presence of evil, the highest level of manipulation
Goading you and luring you, stretching you to uncontrollable limits
Goading you towards ungodly desires , lusts and longings
Taunting when you are tempted and succumb to:
the lusts of the flesh, the weaknesses and the doubts
The pride of life, prejudice, hate, envy and jealousy
The self esteem that sways low or high
All for the purpose of making you break a command
Alluring in its entirety, luring even finally,
to a destructive end
These two are continually at war, the flesh and the Spirit,
A war that seems not to have an ending
Just to dominate the soul that resisteth not evil
the tempter looms
The comforter, the comforter
He alone is present help when the tempter rages
He alone is strength when fleshly trouble brews
The comforter, the comforter
He alone is able in all torment and stronghold
Able to deliver and to save
EXODUS 33: 13-14
Now therefore, I pray thee, if i have found grace in thy way, that i may know thee, that i may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people
And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.
