Artist: Big Daddy Weave
Title: What Life Would Be Like
Style: Christian Rock / Pop
Label: Fervent Records
In a time when bands struggle to stay together for even one year Big Daddy Weave is celebrating a decade of being a band with all of its original members.
That lineup is, Mike Weaver (lead singer, guitar), Jay Weaver (bass, vocals), Jeremy Redmon (guitar, vocals), Jeff Jones (drums), and Joe Shirk (saxophone, keyboards).
The band's latest release, What Life Would Be Like, is their 5th album. It's been two years since the bands last release, Every Time I Breathe.
The theme of this album is just how wonderful our life and the lives of others could really be if we would just step out in faith and live our life. To often we say that we are totally trusting God we but still work with a safety net, just incase.
Be brave and bold live your life full out for the Lord knowing that what He says is the truth and the wonderful life that will result from living that way.
The 10-tracks found on What Life Would Be Likefor the most part are upbeat rock songs blended with some pop music.
This album comes hitting on all cylinders right out of the gate with track-1, "The Day That You Found Me." an upbeat rocker filled with both strong guitars and drums parts. The song deals with having a real life encounter with God.
Songs like, "We Want the World to Hear," and "Revive Us Again" are all out P&W songs.
The band's members are all fans of Phil Collins' music and they decided to do a cover of his song, "Another Day In Paradise" with track-6.
The band also shows their softer side with the touching ballad, "From Here," that's found on track-9.
This album is filled with great music and songwriting, and that adds up to a winning combination in anyone's book, including mine.
With some bands when you hear their music you just know that they get the big picture, Big Daddy Weave is one of those bands, and they prove it again with this latest release, What Life Would Be Like.
