" So Nicholas" he said as he flipped over another pancake. " What's on your mind this morning?".
" Sometimes I feel resentment and anger" he replied as he put syrup on the pancake and began to eat it. " People will say something that hurts my feelings and then I keep it bottled up and then sooner or later it explodes as anger".
" You need to let it go Nicholas" the Creator said as he sat down with a pancake and began to eat it. " The past is the past and nothing will change it".
" I also feel I have unrealistic expectations of myself".
" And why is that?" he replied as he poured himself and Nicholas some orange juice.
" You seem to be happy in this small house with few possessions".
" I'm very happy and satisfied in this small house" the Creator exclaimed with a smile as he looked around at what he had. " I'm very content with what I have".
" But for me I feel that I need to have a big house, the latest fast car and the best paying job I can find".
" Nicholas, do not put your hope and life in material things" the Creator said as he took a sip of orange juice. " These things are temporary and will not bring you everlasting joy". " Would you like to go for a drive?" he asked as he put the dirty dishes and the cups in the dishwasher. " I feel like going for a ride".
" Sure" Nicholas replied as the Creator went to put his driving cap on.
