Flora is inside a cave or at least that is what she perceives. The place was dark and very cold. She could hardly see a thing. She tries to feel her way around the cave. However she soon discover that there seems to be no exit. The only thing that surrounds her are rocks. It scarred her but at the same time she felt that it really doesn't matter. So she sat down at one corner and contemplated of how her life pass by. All she could think of are memories of remorse, anger and sadness. The more she thinks about her mistakes, the more she felt comfortable in the cave. She was sorry to her family and friends but she could not bring herself to think that she is worthy of anything. It is just that life has become so useless. All she ever wanted was to live for Him but it is just so difficult. Struggles and problems are just everywhere. She felt like, she can't go on. So in the end, after all the struggles she went through, she finally decided to just completely close herself up. She doesn't remember how she got trapped in a cave but it no longer matter. So just just sat alone in the dark with tears in her eyes.

The voice startled her. Somebody else was there. She look around but can hardly see a thing.

Somebody was there. The voice came directly in front of her. For some reason the voice seems very familiar. It is very comforting.

“I'm here.” Flora answered. “Do I... Do I know you?”

Flora suddenly felt hands on her shoulders. Whoever that person is , he is definitely in front of her.

“I understand what you are going through. I know what's it like to live in a world stained with sin. But Flora, I died to give you so much more than this.”

Flora was surprised of what he said. Then suddenly she realized who is in front of her. It was Jesus.

“Flora. Do you believe that I love you?”

“Love me!? If you really love me why did you left me so many times. I tried to pray but I felt like you are not there. I tried to live a life for you. I really do but all I could feel is frustration. I'm always slipping. FALLING! You say you love me, but I could hardly feel your presence. I know that you save me but I also love you. I want to give my all for you but I'm a failure! Could you really love me?

Though Flora could not see Jesus, She felt his warm arms surrounding her. Jesus embrace her as a father would embrace his daughter. Flora could not no longer stand it. All the negative emotions, thoughts of self-pity and doubt have reach the highest peak. She cried on the arms of Jesus. Nothing makes sense but at that moment, Jesus is there.

She cried her heart out to Jesus. She is not sure how long but after a while she felt warm drops of water falling on her face. Surprise, she reach out for his face. As she touch the sides of his face, she could feel warm stream of water falling down his cheek. Those were His tears.

“Flora, I know you even before you were born. I know your thoughts even before you pour them out to me. Even if this darkness will consume you, I see you. I love you. Flora, I died on the cross while you are a sinner. In fact, I died even before you were born Indeed, I know that you are also a sinner. But I love you. I know the plans that I have for you. Though you may not understand it, I work all things for your good. Flora, I didn't just die to give you eternal life. I also died to give you an abundant life in this sinful world. A time is coming when I will wipe every tears but I am right here with you. Flora, all I ask is that you will remain in me because I love you.”

For a moment, Flora couldn't believe what he is saying. His words were just amazing. Though she has been a Christian for quite some time, she never did allow Jesus to love her as who she really is. She tried to move away from Jesus but He held her hand. She couldn't see it but she felt the hole in his wrist. She touch Jesus' mark of the cross. Immediately, she is reminded of how Jesus suffered on the cross for her. He has proved his love to her even before she was born.

“ How can I remain in you?” Flora ask.

“Allow me to fill you through my Word. Call on me and I will come to your aid. Life is difficult for you but I am the source of your strength. Believe on my promises. Though you may not yet see me, know for sure that I am here. I am real. I will never leave you. I will never forsake you.”

“I believe in You.” Flora answered.

Jesus embrace her again. Suddenly the cave seems to be shaking. The rocks are breaking. The cave is collapsing. Flora could only close her eyes and leave everything to Jesus.

“I promise.”

Water came pouring into the cave . Within seconds, she became dizzy. She realize that she is now surrounded with water. The cave seem to have disappear. There she was floating up. She tried to open her eyes. She saw a glimpse of His white robe. He was holding her as He ascend. She look up and up above them was the surface. The light of the sun pierces through it. It is beautiful. Then she fainted

Flora wake up inside a room. Her head was spinning and she couldn't remember how she got there. She heard the a sound and turned her head towards it. She saw her family and and some of her friends standing by the door.

“Flora, thank God. You're awake.”

A few days has passed after she woke up from the coma. By this time, she already remembered what happened. She actually have severe depression that led her to commit suicide by drinking poison. While in the hospital, she is being counseled by godly friends. Finally, after a few months Flora was getting better.

As she tried to reflect on what happened, she knows she forgot something. Whatever it is, she knows it has something to do with John 10:10.

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I (Jesus) have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
