If college students wrote the Bible today, Paul's letter to the
Romans would possibly become Paul's email to:

Have you ever heard someone say, "I'd rather burn out for the Lord
than rust out." Unfortunately, sometimes that statement is made in
a boastful way. For others, it is a genuine thought. Truth is that
neither of those extremes is necessary or very smart.
We've all seen people who were busy, busy, busy in the work of
the Lord to the point of exhaustion. Sometimes they feel that is a
sign of spirituality, but it can also be an ego thing to impress
others. We need to take a timeout and search our real motives.
We never do our best work at anything when we are tired. Jesus
realized the value of this. In Mark 6:31 He said, "...come ye
yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest awhile." In other
words, come apart and rest before you really come apart!
If you want to do your very best for the Lord, manage your time
well.

Excellent point and well made! How often do we stop to review our motives? Being busy and working are not necessarily the same thing!
The opinions expressed by authors do not necessarily reflect the opinion of FaithWriters.com. This is especially true with articles that
deal with personal healthcare and prophecy. We encourage the reader to make their own decision in consultation with God, His Word, and others as needed.
