All I have is yours, and all you have is mine. And glory has come to me through them. John 17:10 NIV
The first sentence of this verse is hard for us to grasp. This world teaches me, myself and I. I must own, I must possess. It must belong to me. What? I am expected to share? What I have belongs to you? No, it belongs to me. But this is not the case with God. What the Father has belongs to the Son and what the Son has belongs to the Father. This is why the Father and the Son are One. That which belongs is not exclusive to one of them, as they are One together. So much we selfish humans can learn here from Our Creator.
Glory comes to Christ through the disciples. They came to know Jesus as the Messiah, the Savior of the world. They came to know Him as the Son sent from the Father. They went out into the world, and guided by the indwelling Holy Spirit preached the God News, thus bringing glory to the Son.
