Seeking His glory in all we do
As the famous saying goes “Truth prevails” and thus we can affirm that “All the false will one day surely derail.”
Even when living the Christian life and evangelizing or spreading the Word, one has to do it in accordance with the will of God. God has a perfect plan for each one of us through which we will be blessed and will become a blessing for others, however in our own pursuit for name and fame, we try to add in time, words and efforts to modify God’s plan with the intention to be more effective, however such an attempt may lead to further distort God’s plan in our life.
“He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of the One who sent Him is true, and no unrighteousness is in Him.”
John 7:18 NKJV
Our lives will be at its best when in everything we do, we seek the glory of God, for this is the very purpose of our creation.
“Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
Matthew 5:16 NKJV
We will be heading towards a major disaster or downfall if we seek our own glory over that of God’s glory in our life (remember..is this not what Lucifer did and was cast out from God’s presence).
Today the whole world cherishes on the life and works of St. Paul and this is due to this very reason:
“And I, brethren, when I came to you, did not come with excellence of speech or of wisdom declaring to you the testimony of God. For I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and Him crucified. I was with you in weakness, in fear, and in much trembling. And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God.”
1 Corinthians 2:1-5 NKJV
Paul never used His own wisdom and power to preach the blessed Word of God, rather he yielded himself as a useful tool in the hands of God for God’s power and love to be manifested through His life and ministry.
God has made us for His glory - and in His time and in His way, He will bring opportunities in our lives to glorify Him, let’s wait for Him with a consecrated life, for He surely has a plan and purpose for us to bless us and to make us a blessing for others.
God Bless,
Abraham
