Poetry
It is most vital for a professing Christian to make sure that they are daily guided by our Lord.
When we pray about seeking the Lord’s will, we must remember he guides us within the boundaries of his word.
There is no path of providence that we can ever find ourselves on, that God doesn’t already know the perfect way.
We must however qualify ourselves by not turning aside from the path of duty, and fearing God’s holy name.
In order to be actually led we must not lean to our own understanding, but in all our ways acknowledge him.
We acknowledge him by keeping God’s word as our only guide, meditating day and night therein.
If while on this path, we find a great stone blocking the way, we must be still, and surrender to his will.
Remember the disciples out on the sea with boisterous waves, and treacherous winds, all the Lord said was peace be still.
If we submit to his guidance we take on ourselves his yoke, then we trust our Master to guide us in his direction.
Veering off the straight, narrow path is dangerous, dark, and steep, bringing about crippling afflictions.
I was recently on the path where the way got dark, rough, then I heard the Lord’s voice say. This is the way, walk therein.
I was however severely wounded, but not without guidance though I bear in my body deep scars within.
If felt like a ship for a time with no sail, being thrust into a jagged, rocky, shoreline, my only hope was to wait on God to guide.
He then bare me up in the shelter of his wing, led me to his pavilion, and in his refuge I did hide.
He lodged me in that safe, haven of rest, though the war still raged on, he was preparing me for the next phase.
He polished, and shined up my armor with the ointment of his word, then placed me back in the battle by his amazing grace.
The Lord ever training made me fit for his battle, training me in my weakest areas of humility, self-love, and pride.
He burns up the wood, hay, and stubble, preserving the gold, silver, and precious stones for his son’s glory Jesus Christ.
We have no reason to be unwise we should understand the will of the Lord. The days are evil, we must redeem the time.
We must daily fight the giant of self-love, let the Lord’s word guide us, as we journey to those mansions sublime.
