Thank you Mom for Jesus
Mom you were the first
to tell me of his love
the first to teach me how
to trust in him above
You taught me that he gave
and he gave unselfishly
he gave up all he had
that we'd some day be free
Thank you Mom for Jesus
and for training me
though I'm at the age of straying
I choose the victory!
They beat my Lord upon his back
and it filled him full of shame
because you told me of those strips
no sickness I retain
I'm living life in righteousness
oh no, not of my own
but the righteousness of he who gave
redemption to the throne
And even now he does continue
to give and give to me
he's making intercession
to ensure that I'll stay free
Awaiting on his last command
from the Father known as Love
to hear him say return my Son
and bring my children home
Thank you Mom for Jesus
thank you Father from above
that the Word of God turned flesh
has finished
he's done, Amen! He's done!
