Micah 7

I will bear the indignation of the Lord, because I have sinned against him, until he plead my cause, and execute judgement for me: he will bring me forth to the light, and I shall behold his righteousness v9

His indignation, I will bear

For I have sinned against the Lord

My heart cries out, in feeble prayer

Until He comes to plead my cause

True judgement, He will not withhold

To bring from darkness into light

His righteousness I shall behold

When blinded eyes, receive their sight

Who is a God like unto Thee

Thine anger thou dost not retain

But pardoneth iniquity

To turn in perfect love, again

Mercy and love, is Thy delight

Thou wilt subdue iniquity

And sin, though blacker than the night

Wilt banish, in the deepest sea

Who is a God like unto thee, that pardoneth iniquity, and passeth by the transgression of the remnant of his heritage? he retaineth not his anger for ever, because he delighteth in mercy.
He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. v 18-19

This past week, the thought that 'God delights' ... in lovingkindness, mercy, righteousness and judgement, has been brought before me several times. In Jeremiah 9, Psalm 51, Micah 7 and today a hymn. I really need to meditate on that and let it sink in. This is a wonderful passage of Scripture. My feeble thoughts detract from the rich meaning but for some reason, I felt compelled this evening, to attempt to put it into verse.
