There's a difference in bein' by yourself
An' bein' all alone!
Countless reasons can dictate your solitary state.
'They're all at work (or IN a work) or had appointments....
That simply could not wait!
No one's around; 'they' ALL have gone;
You're 'by yourself' but NOT 'alone."
The empty house with silence glows
('They'll' all be back....but WHEN?.....who knows?)
'They'll' stop.....a drink and burger buy,
And bring it home
('twill be 'their' try
To make you happy.....and atone
'They' THOUGHT 'they'd' left YOU all alone.)
But in 'their' absence....there has been
A chance for you to 'look within;'
To reassess the way you've gone
(An' reaffirm.....you're NOT alone.)
So.....next time you are 'by yourself'
Or feel you're 'in the way;'
Of others' plans.....and others; goals
Investigate what's in YOUR soul;
YOU'LL come away with peace and cheer......
YOU'LL find the Master's ALWAYS near.
So when 'they' ALL have up an' gone....
You're 'by yourself', but NOT ALONE!
