God Needs You and Your Money
Where do you stand – Worthy or Unworthy
Ecclesiastes 10:17-19
Blessed art thou, o land, when thy King is the son of nobles, and thy princes eat in due season for strength and not for drunkenness!
By much slothfulness the building decayeth; and through idleness of the hands the house droppeth through.
A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.
III John 2
Beloved I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
God needs you blessed: in all aspects of life, in all respects
I. In wealth
II. In health
III. In his word
He needs you wealthy in prosperity, wealthy in your health and wealthy in his word. All these are as important as the others are because he can use all three.
What can God do with a man that has no money, a church that has no money, and you don’t even want a man with no money. God can’t use that and we can’t either. How will he provide? Speaking in tongue won’t feed you, clothe you or shelter you from the storm. If speaking in tongues could do these things, we wouldn’t need anything else. In that case we can’t depend on them for anything, they’ll be looking in our face. That’s how God is when we can’t do Kingdom Works. We can’t do anything for God. Instead we’ll always be looking in his face for something, we aren’t in his presence just to offer praise, and men are just like God. They want to be praised, loved and adored.
Jesus was a carpenter by trade. He used money. He even had a treasurer. Judas not only betrayed him for thirty pieces of silver, but he stole money from Jesus’ treasury, which he was steward over.
We are to help in the ministry. When we gain, the church should gain, because you owe God the tithe on all of your increase. Some of us are increasing and forgetting to pay our vow. The tithe is due God.
Malachi 3:8-10
Will a man rob God? Yet ye have robbed me. But ye say, wherein have we robbed thee? In tithe and offerings. Ye are cursed with a curse: for ye have robbed me, even this whole nation. Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of host, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.
Tithe – Means the tenth.
It is holy and when you take it, you are messing on holy ground. You can’t come on holy ground and do anything. You are being disrespectful to God because you are a liar and a thief. How many of us hate liars, thieves and people that cheat.
Well some of us should hate ourselves, because that’s what we are when we take and use God’s money for things that want prosper us because it was gotten with God’s gain.
When you are prosperous you can help the work of the ministry, help those that labor in the Gospel, and putting God first gets you to the state of prosperity. It says that you love him, you trust him and you reverence or honor him.
It’s not about the money, but because we are in love with our money, God only tests us in that area. He wants us simply to obey. Are you failing the test? Are you holding your church back? Are you making yourself sick? When you don’t do what you are supposed to do, your very righteous spirit is vexed. You curse yourself, your home and your church. God can’t bless the church like he would because there is sin in the camp, thieves in the camp, disobedience in the camp, a cursed thing, and a curse disobedient things defiles the house. It’s better that we get rid of the cursed thing out of the house so that God can come in and bless. Satan made a mistake to put Jesus on the cross, thinking he was getting rid of him and we make even a bigger mistake to keeping him on the cross. Every time we sin and disobey, we put him back on the cross, killing him over and over again. How many times must Jesus die for us? He has already died once for us to have the right to do right, to obey freely.
Jesus, what else does it take for us to realize the error of our ways.
If some of us don’t wake up, we will awake to a downsizing, spiritually as well as naturally. God will no longer permit our ungodly conduct. Conduct permitted is conduct tolerated. God is tired of our unbelief. We have unbelief, because we won’t obey his word. We say we love him, but how can we if we won’t obey. We need to rethink our commitment to God. We don’t love him for what he can do for us, but we love him just because he is God. Man doesn’t want us to love them for what they can do for us. We don’t love them but the things. God feels the same way. God made man in his own image, remember with the same like passions and mind.
He wants us blessed in health because when you are healthy, your mind, body and soul responds to what it need respond to.
A healthy mind causes you to speak to your adversary. When things aggravate you enough then you will speak, loose here.
It takes strong men to carry the gospel, the gospel of Jesus Christ.
It took Simon, a man of Cyrene compelled to carry the cross of Jesus. Simon was a strong man. (ref. Matt. 27:32, Mark 15:21)
The cross was generally carried by the prisoner, which we know here was Jesus, but due to his severe scourging it was more than he could bear. He was carrying the sin and weights of the whole human race. Can you imagine his weighted down manly state? All of our sin he carried should have buried him right where he was, let alone him carrying the cross part of the way. So because he carried weight, so do we. We must pick up the cross daily and follow him. The weights we carry, we must drop daily. Forsake the sin and weight that so easily beset us.
This is how we gain strength by denying ungodliness and lusts in this world. The gospel hung on the cross, so that we can hang on to him in this world and live the gospel.
It takes strong men to move some things. We have to gain strength in God’s word and through his spirit in us to move things in our lives. We have to learn to stand on the word.
It takes strong healthy men to lift the standards and stand for him. Strong men will stand up for what’s right. Strong men will set godly examples, which will strengthen others to live for him. Strong men will not take down, give in or give up. They will speak what God says.
Strong healthy men will work to obtain the wealth needed for their purpose here on earth. God needs you with wealth.
He also needs you in his word. A strong word based Christian will endure the pressures of life and he learns how to resist, rebuke and retard the devil, that he may walk in health, gain wealth, and live the words of the gospel each and every day.
There is a danger in looking back - What in Hell do you want?

God will refill your sacks. He will refill your pocketbooks; you will lose nothing, but gain.
Genesis 43:11-18
A fear should come upon you to take God’s money.
Genesis 43:20-22
God does not lie. He said he would supply all your need. He can give you far more than you can ever think or imagine.
Try him, it will come from somewhere.
Genesis 43:23
When God bless you and you get it right, you don’t have to fear.
Exodus 22:7
If we steal God’s money, we owe him double.
Exodus 30:16
God uses money to make us honest.
Deuteronomy 2:5-7
God gives us money for our needs, but we buy things other than what he has provided it for. We over spend and waste because we don’t do what we are supposed to do. Give the tithe and an offering and God will give us direction for using the rest.
Deuteronomy 14:25:27
We waste our money on people that is not of the household of faith. We put our money to waste. We can’t bless any one that God has cursed.
Judges 16:17-19
People will sell you out for money. The Devil will make you steal God’s heart, by deceiving him with your money. Yet God is not deceived but you are. Woe be unto you when the devil uses you to deceive God’s work. Don’t cut out God’s provision with your lack of vision.
II Kings 12
Give from the heart. If it’s not given from the heart, keep it.
Be careful how you receive money. It has to be received from righteousness and to God’s glory.
We have to be faithful in our dealings. We need to care for the house of the Lord and all those that are hired by the house to care for it. We have to be careful about the money we even receive in the house of the Lord. Some people don’t care how they get money, just get it. They are getting money by deception, making promises in God’s name and they don’t know God and God definitely don’t know them.
Some things we do have nothing to do with God. It’s for our own personal gain, but we use the Lord’s name in vain. God forbid.
II Chronicles 34:16-18
God provide for his overseers, but we hold it back form them.
Esther 4:6-8
If you take care to God’s business he will not let anything sneak upon you. He will reveal the enemy to you. He’ll keep you ahead of the enemy.
Psalms 15:4-6
God will not let any evil move against you. It may come and present itself, but it will not prosper against you.
Ecclesiates 7:11-13
Giving God his will make you wise. God will give you wisdom in the areas of your life that you can obtain wealth.
Isaiah 52:2-4
How can you receive if you don’t put anything out there to get a return? It is said that as a man soweth, that also shall he reap. How can you redeem something if you don’t put out first?
Isaiah 55:1-2
God’s love is not for sale. We are not selling the gospel but we are offering you life and that more abundantly through obedience to God’s word and his principles.
What’s more profitable for you? To obey or suffer loss, because that’s what you do when you don’t give God his due. His tithe and offering is Holy. Your bag will obtain holes in them and all you have will go through. Your car will break, your baby will get sick, your roof will get holes, and someone will break into your home and steal. God promises you that, you will be cursed with a curse.
God is looking at the evidence of stewardship, concerning our money. He looks to see if we are worthy to receive the fullness of his blessings. He will not bless anyone that will be selfish concerning blessing his house and putting out money for his work. God doesn’t haphazardly trust anyone that doesn't trust him. Trust worthiness begat trust worthiness. You exhibit it; you get it in return. Is your labor about what God can do for you or is it rather what you can do for God? Is your labor for gain or is you labor to the glory and honor of God? What is your motive behind what you do? You have got to be careful of what you do to bring money to the house of God. Some things must never enter into the courts of the Lord. God’s plan is righteous. He will not go against his word. His word says the tithe and offering. Neglect of the written plan of God brings not only a curse to you, but also a curse in the household. You can very well be the curse in the house.
God is tired of us hiding our money. We put in banks our money to build up treasure but we give God a $1.00 offering. God wants us to give him a first fruit offering. A dollar offering anytime for a saint says you are cursed.
God hates waste. Some of our money we could keep. For what we put out, we may as well give it away. It serves us no good with God. It’s a joke. Not demeaning anyone, but consider your ways that you also don’t demean God either.
God didn’t say we didn’t need money, but he didn’t want us to have to worry about money. He makes provision for his vision and you may be the provider, so don’t get sidetracked into thinking that what you give is not needed, but make sure it’s given in the right spirit.
Jesus watches our giving and he mirrors it. In other words it reflects back at you what you give. Sure the rich give more because they have more, but the spirit in which they give it is what God watch. You make less; you give less, but are your giving in vain? Do you give because you are looking for something back or are you giving because it’s your hearts desire to do the right thing, God’s way? Are you really trusting God or are you just being seen giving? Will you give if it’s done by means of dropping it in a bucket on the entrance of the door where no one sees you giving? Some time it takes giving all you’ve got to please God’s heart.
When you hold God’s money it bring a spirit of betrayal. You hold it once and the Devil will deceive you into thinking it’s okay to so such. Once he tricks you into keeping God’s money, he then betrays you. When you wake up, you will wish you were dead, because of all the things that come against you. The Devil goes to God boasting that if he would bless us, we will betray him in our giving. To whom much is given, much is required. We out of greed will hold what we have and lose what we could get or achieve. We can get promotions that we aren’t even qualified for.
God doesn’t bless us just to sit on our blessing. He wants us to use what he gave us that we may multiply it. The only way is to invest in righteous giving and living that we may prosper and be in health even as our souls prosper. As we learn, we do better. God wants us to use what we got or we can lose it. He wants us to sow, that we can reap. He doesn’t like it when we don’t use our talents or our abilities to his glory. He will take from us what we don’t use.
If we give, it shall be given; you can’t beat God’s giving no matter how you try. You hold it; again I say you lose it.
God already knows what you have. He just wants to see what you will do with what he has blessed you with.
