Go Into All the World
By: Rick L King

Mr 16:15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
18 They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.
19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.
20 And they went forth, and preached every where, the Lord working with them, and confirming the word with signs following. Amen.
We have all heard that we are to go into all the world and preach the gospel. I want to focus on something here that I believe for the most part has been missed by the church. It is great that we want people saved as does the Lord. Verse 19 states that Jesus went to the Father and sat on His right hand. After He went to Heaven then they went forth. If we read in the Book of Acts about the disciples and what they did I think we will see that a step in the process has been overlooked.
Acts 1:
8. But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they looked stedfastly toward heaven as he went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 Which also said, Ye men of Galilee, why stand ye gazing up into heaven? this same Jesus, which is taken up from you into heaven, shall so come in like manner as ye have seen him go into heaven.
12 Then returned they unto Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is from Jerusalem a sabbath day’s journey.
13 And when they were come in, they went up into an upper room, where abode both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon Zelotes, and Judas the brother of James.
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
The disciples even though they were under orders from Jesus did not just go out. They went to the upper room first. They had all things common. They distributed to every one that had need. They were in unity. Read psalm 133. These verses state that with unity comes the anointing and then the blessing. They fulfilled this scripture and God fulfilled His Word. They walked in one accord, which is to stay that had one focus. They waited till they were endued with the promise from Jesus of the power of the Holy Spirit so that they could be a witness.
So often we attempt to fulfill this scripture when there is no unity or no power. We have not done as the disciples did in Acts 1 and we wonder why there is little fruit. If we could just do things God’s way and be endued with power, we would then see the signs and wonders as God confirms His Word through us. Mark 16:20 states that God worked with them with signs following. They did not act independent of the Holy Spirit. He was involved. He did the anointing and leading. We need more power not more religious works by our flesh. It is great to desire to go, but it is far better to go when the Holy Spirit leads and empowers.
God’s result
Ac 2:47 Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.
Please read Acts 1 and 2 as it gives the account of doing things God’s ways with power.
God did the adding, not man.
