Ps 95:2 Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving, and make a joyful noise unto Him with psalms.
The first Thanksgiving Proclamation by George Washington in 1789 I feel is so worth repeating today.
“ Where it is the duty of all nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey His will, to be grateful for His benefits, and humbly to implore His protection and favor…Now therefore, I do recommend and assign Thursday, the twenty-sixth day of November next, to be devoted by the people of these States to the service of that great and glorious Being, who is the Beneficent Author of all the good that was, that is, or that will be; that we may then all unite in rendering unto Him our sincere and humble thanks for His kind care and protection of the people of this country.”
America has been greatly favored by God. We should pause and recount all the blessings God has poured out on our country and to us as individuals. We should never be unmindful of God’s great mercies but we should always manifest a grateful spirit.
We have so much to be grateful for, so therefore our hymns of joy and praise should ascend to our loving Heavenly Father this Thanksgiving showing our appreciation for all His love to us.
If you died today, are you absolutely certain that you would go to heaven? You can be! TRUST JESUS NOW
