The sun is brightly shining
on this summers’ day.
Birds arriving home again
children run and play.
The ticking of the clock
time goes fleeing by.
I try to live within each tick
but I can only try.
I look around with sadness
and see the mess I’m in.
Sucked up in the mire
covered with my sins.
What will happen to my life
only You can say?
**You are the Truth and the Light
quietly I pray.
Oh God tell my story
so I can plainly see.
Everything You do
I know You love me.
Thank You for Your blessings
You’ve opened up my eyes.
You calmed my fearful heart
You quieted my cries.
With sweet persuasion
You’re showing me the way.
Nudging me forward
helping me to pray.
On this summers’ morning
I open up my soul.
I'm asking You to come in
making my life whole.
