But there’s more to this life than living and dying,
More than just trying to make it through the day;
More to this life, more than these eyes alone can see,
And there’s more than this life alone can be. (Lyrics, Steven Curtis Chapman)
Have you felt not quite where you needed to be?? Maybe that antzy feeling catches up with you, where you start asking deeper questions like, what is my purpose? why I am here? I am doing that right now. I am starting to get this uneasy feeling that I am not letting myself be used to the fullest capacity and my passion and desire to be used for God's great things is starting to overrun my fears and insecurities and creating this uneasy feeling that there is more that I need to be doing. Youth Ministry is my calling, and I know I am most at home when I am there. The more I sit in a pew and listen to pastors, the more uneasy I am getting because I know God has great plans for me. I believe God not only gets frustrated with us, but I believe deep down inside we get frustrated with ourselves at the apathy that sometimes surrounds our daily lives. There is much more to life than warming pews and letting someone else preach to you, there is much much more to that. We go to the body for refreshment so we can turn around and refresh the world. We when don't fulfill that purpose then we begin to feel out of place, satan wants us to think that we are where we belong, nestled right into the arms of apathy/boredom/fear himself. He wants us to our faith to be dead, he wants to destroy us. We must keep the passionate fervor alive by placing ourselves within fear's path and face him head-on and run towards God every step of the way. We must fulfill our destiny and that is serve God with our hearts unequivocally and live in this world with passion and fervor and face what is brought to us each day. It is then that we can answer the passionate call to God and live out the MORE that is to life. It is as if we only put half the sugar into the cake mix when the ingredients ask for a full-cup, we are not using our full-capacity of ourselves in our ministry, we must, we are charged to, we must live out our full potencia, potential to the maximum extreme that we have been given...it is then that we can experience God and his power and love in its extreme as well...good luck on the Journey!!!
