Communication
Sitting at my desk, clicking away on my laptop, I pause, look out the window, appreciating the beauty of the rain sifting through the trees, standing tall into the wind and the look of silver drops falling down to Mother Earth, soaking into the ground.
I ponder if the world really understands about languages that people speak and relate to?
Do we always comprehend that there is a Jesus language interwoven between the chatter and talk? Conversations are relayed with each other every minute of the day, across the borders of our country, stretching over continents.
So many words said with so many different meanings. Do we really listen to what lies behind all that is said?
Maybe we do, sometimes, maybe we don’t.
Honour, pride, hurt and joy is expressed every minute of every day throughout the world.
Is it possible to listen to others, rather than to self?
We wish to be heard, we wish to be listened to. The need becomes so great we forget to “forget” about self.
“Die in self” is a foreign language in itself, strange to the mind, misunderstood by many.
Ultimately, it is a language that brings rewards beyond human understanding.
It puts life in perspective, makes living joyful, and brings peace which opens possibilities that cannot be comprehended, regardless of the circumstance people find themselves in, at any given time.
People say it makes little sense and this is, oh so true, how could it if it does not even make sense to self?
However, it creates, supplies much wonderment and the know, because you know, because you know – God is in control – “…..you are not in the driver’s seat, I am”.
(Matthew 16:24-26 (The Message)
This language is known to mankind that comes in a whisper – our conscious and ultimately the Holy Spirit. It is understood and lived by all denominations, cultures and creed.
Words, so often unbeknown, across all barriers portraying:
kindness; understanding; meekness; mildness; tolerance and love, first of all, for God and then love for your neighbour.
We stand on the cross roads of making the decision to come back to Jesus, the Son of God, who died for our sins, He who was without sin, then rose from the dead and descended to heaven, to sit at the right hand of His Father, our Abba! He did all of this because He loves us unconditionally, bringing the fairness back to the innocent. He IS, WAS and will always be a fair and just God.
How can we then, in any language, foreign and with dialect, not sing and praise Him with all the Angels in heaven, declaring Him as our Redeemer, Conqueror and Healer of the world?
HE IS our FOREIGN LANGUAGE – forever more – until Kingdom come!
Like droplets of rain falling softly to the ground, is the Holy Spirit whispering in our soul – all is well!
