Blessed is God Almighty and thanks be to Jesus Christ our survivor.
The book of Isaiah declares God’s command to stop sinning and return unto Him. For in that time humankind, faced hardship for grievous sins performed in God’s sight. They practiced idolatry and human sacrifice forbidden by God. Truly, time had come for God’s judgment over the land and people. However, two bright points in Isaiah yield the foretelling of Jesus Christ, the Fruitful Branch of Jesse as explained in Is 11:1. In addition, after the destruction of Israel and the world as we know it today, a remnant remains to glorify Jesus return to Mount Zion.
Over the course of human history, God intervened several times to correct us from our deviant ways. He removed Adam and Eve from the Garden of Eden; introduce a flood to wipe humans off His land, except for Noah and his family. Now, once again God’s pending judgment of sin was upon His people. The people of Isaiah time looked for a reprieve from this doom proclaimed by the prophet. Nevertheless, two hundred years after Isaiah spoken words God delivered his brand of justice.
What keeps us sinning? The lust to please our flesh is a formidable challenge. We deceive ourselves daily by not renewing our commitment to God, to live in a Christ like lifestyle. The New Testament tells us, “No one is good but God.” We should keep this in mind as we continue to spend money for Wars, Unemployment, and Taxes. Our Government and Private Corporations leadership is driving this county and other counties back to the WASTLAND. By their actions, they scream out, “We haven’t learned from the past. Go, spend more money this Christmas, We are.
In the time of Noah, Isaiah and in our current last days, God is watching to see who is trying to do the right thing and who is chasten for Jeremiah 17:9 states “The human heart is most deceitful and desperately wicked.” Some of the natural events on the planet suggest His will be done. The movements of the earth, the financial woes across many counties are sure signs that His will be done. What will you do when God’s judgment knocks at your door? Die like most or kneel before God Almighty and ask for His help. The days grow short this is the best time to turn back to God. Stop chasing human exploits, as Solomon talks about in Ecclesiastes 2:11 “But as I looked at everything I had worked so hard to accomplish, it was all meaningless. It was like chasing the wind. There was nothing worthwhile anywhere. The time is now to return unto the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings Christ Jesus for a son has been born, Emmanuel.
