Gospel
Mt 14:25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea.
Mt 14:26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear.
Mt 14:27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid.
Mt 14:28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water.
Mt 14:29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus.
Mt 14:30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.
Surely an unbelieving heart is a poor heart. It lacks for its master the voistourous blessings of our Lord and saviour, God(the Father, the Son & the Spirit). It is a pity to hear the wasted words of a false heart.
It lies to its master that it is too late....when in fact its never too late. It is too lazy to keep patient when it appears that much time has passed since the time of the promise.
It fixes its eyes on the very things the eyes see at that moment. It changes mood everytime an external change takes place. It surely is a loss to the one bearing it!
It curses the legs for NOT being there on time, rather than pray the Lord for a favor. It makes the body carry the burden of a solved problem.
It accounts for every fleshly event to direct the course of its life, forgetting that the Lord knew us before we knew him. It forgets that the Lord placed his people strategically for the GOOD plans he has for us, plans NOT to destroy us or forsake us, but plans to PROSPER us.
It is a curse to the owner of it.
The believing heart is a blessing to himself, the people and the Lord. It arrays itself to heights unmovable. It conquers worldly lusts and deviations. Howbeit the little ones do not yearn for it!
It increases everyday, and disburdens its owner of the cares of this world, that work against man's nature of faithful dominion. It makes stupid the words of the false preacher, by rejecting falsehoods and accepting Gospel truths.
It surely is a blessing to the owner of it!
