To teach us how to truly live, in times of joy and strife.
Learning all we need to know, to live each day on earth.
It starts at our beginning, right from our time of birth.
From parents we are taught the skills every baby needs,
To help us to develop, and how to take our feeds.
Smiling, playing, crawling, are times of growth and fun,
Standing, walking, running, new lessons have begun.
Our early childhood learning is most important too,
Learning skills to interact, gives us a wider view.
To learn to share with others, may well result in tears.
Holding on to things we want, and at times our fears.
Years at School brings knowledge, from the things we learn.
Lessons learnt for skills we need, is something we must earn.
Self discipline in study, is sometimes hard to do,
But it’s the secret that you need, to gain success for you.
As we mature to adulthood, leave school and go to work.
We need the lessons we have learnt, to use instead of shirk.
Employers look for diligence, in those they will employ.
Not those who waste their time each day, whether girl or boy.
The lessons that we learn each day, go on from year to year.
Success is found through trying, we need to persevere.
Don’t give up and think you’re through, you too can take your turn.
It matters not how old you are, there’s something you can learn.
The greatest lesson we must learn, is learning to forgive,
Jesus came to show the way. He died so we might live.
He’ll set you free from all that binds, put purpose in your life.
Free you from an aimless heart, of pain and sin and strife.
Learning to develop skills, with others in our world,
Brings challenges to meet each day, the future is unfurled.
You can sit there, stay in a rut, the choice is up to you.
Or stand up tall, and take the risk to find true freedom too.
