TITLE: Power of Prayer

Today I was traveling through my Lifes passage, of the learning I have acquired through my Lifes trials and challenges. Most of these lessons have through relational ties with family, years of medical challenges. I’m experiencing two medical conditions that are very debilitating at times. I pray daily for the Lord, to carry me through these medical challenges, to keep me spiritually fit and energized. To mend any family issues that has proved to be very divided on many levels.

I know my limits within my daily activities; this has taken me many years to learn. Thirty years ago I considered my self-invincible, there was nothing I couldn’t do when I set my mind to it. I was in great physical shape, and could accomplish a great amount of things. I was running on my own power, I did still believe in the Lord. My prayer life was out of alignment with my placement of power of the Lord. So in contrast to this all my intense medical conditions, which have brought me to the power of prayer.

What I viewed high importance on material and the physical plain, in life in the past, has been changed to what are my spiritual priorities. I truly believe be granted this second chance at living, has given a deeper and closer look at what really matters. My family has always been very closely knitted. No matter what adversities we go through, we all stay in a close contact. I have precious and valued friendships, and dynamic church family and the power of prayer through all these relationships.

There are many days I’m physically exhausted for these medical conditions. Whenever these times come upon me. I tap into my reservoir of prayer. Also some of my family members and myself are involved in a prayer chain. As well as be part of our prayer room during the service. We have a rotating system this just a new part a few members have started. We have a list each week we all pray for during each week. Whenever this physical weakness begins to overtake me, I immediately think of our prayer list, and start praying for them.

I sometimes can feel the healing power; enveloping give and me a spurt of super charged energy to accomplish even a simple task. Such as writing this article, everyday I need to take a nap to be able to function for the rest of the evening. I will share with all of you the joy I have through all of this. Knowing the Lord is with me always; he will give me the strength to share my life experiences with others. He does for me what I’m not able to do for myself.

For many years I have wanted to be a functional part of our society. The Lord has placed on my heart; I am because of sharing my faith, life hopes, inspiration, and encouragement with people who feel there’s no hope in their life. Which I’m being obedient to this calling everyday. I may not achieve a lot of life awards, or gain status in the working world. The Lord reminded me I’m, an important part of society, too because I can do much more behind the scenes for the glory of his kingdom.

All of you have been a life blessing to me, by the sharing of your lives. Sending your comments has been very insightful too. This song came to mind, this is the day the Lord has made, and I should rejoice and be glad in it. One of my all time spiritual hymns favorite is “Amazing Grace”, how sweet the sound who saved a wretch like, I was once lost and now I’m found, was blind but now I see. The power of prayer has ultimately transformed my daily life. Sending all of you prayers and life blessings.
