In every man’s life there are beginnings. We have the past, the present and the future. The present is merely the boundary between the past and the future. It takes the Almighty God, to decide when your past is actually past and when your future begins. Isaiah 43:18-19 says: “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; it shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert”.
In a single day, He can put an end to the past and put a beginning to the future. For forty years Moses ran from Pharaoh. In Exodus 3:1-12, in a single day, the one who was a fugitive became a deliverer. There is only One person who in one day, can put an end to darkness and bring in light and make the light permanent. In Mark 10:46-52 is the story of blind Bartimaeus. He was born blind. It took only one minute for God to put an end to his past and give him a new beginning. Why is Jesus able to give you a new beginning? It is because, according to Revelations 1:8, He says: “I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty” .
He is the controller of the past, present and future. That is why the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 that if any man be in Christ he is a new creature, old things are passed away, behold, all things are become new. Let this day be a new beginning for you – a new beginning of joy: a new beginning of victory, a new beginning of prosperity. The moment the Holy Spirit step into someone’s life, He will bring about a new beginning. God said in Isaiah 43:19 “Behold, I will do a new thing: now it shall spring forth: shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert” What kind of new thing can He do? In 1 Samuel 2:8, the Bible says God can take a beggar from the dunghill and put him on the throne. This is obviously a new thing.
Immediately Jesus stepped into Peter’s boat his story became different. That was the beginning of beginnings. Peter moved away from failure into success. A fisherman who catches no fish is a failure. Peter moved out of poverty into abundant blessings. Peter as a frustrated man became full of joy. You can understand the reason for this. He threw his nets into the sea several times and he caught no fish. Then the Alpha stepped into his situation and things changed completely.
There were many beginnings in the life of king Nebuckadnezzar. He was a king. He became an animal. For seven years he was completely mad. When a king became an animal eating grass that is madness of the highest degree! However the day Nebuckadnezzar lifted up eyes to Heaven was another beginning in his life.
