Such is the process of God’s molding of our lives; His purposes are fulfilled in due season. What we experience within a certain chapter of life may not have been possible without the lesson that came before. Christian artist Nichole Nordeman wrote a song titled “Every Season” in which she beautifully describes the four seasons of the year, expressing how she sees God in each one despite their differences. The lyrics conclude by offering gratitude that through each change, God reveals Himself while recreating us. It is a celebration of transformation.
Today you may stand in a season of rest and joy. It may seem like summer.
Today you may stand in a season of change and purging. It may seem like fall.
Today you may stand in a season of barrenness and loneliness. It may seem like winter.
Today you may stand in a season of forgiveness and rebirth. It may seem like spring.
Give thanks for each; stand with your hands in praise toward the skies; rejoice without reservation! For His shaping of our souls manifests itself in different seasons. One preludes the next, and we are reborn through blessing and testing. Every season is one to applaud!
