I know a girl by name of Julia who was diagnosed with a very rare and inoperable Cancer. After the initial shock, do you know what she did and still continues to do. She laughed at it! Not at the diagnosis but the word of God said different. She refused to let that foul thing steal her joy and she took hold of the scripture. “The joy of the lord is our strength” and she laughs with the joy of the Lord. Everywhere she goes that smile and laugh and her joy looks that Cancer straight in the face and the doom and gloom that goes with it just goes away! People look at her and say “ how can she be like that” She radiates laughter and joy.
The witness that she is for Jesus is there for all to see and people are drawn to her. It is not long before they too will laugh. She is infectious! Doctors say that a good belly laugh is as good as any prescription. A laugh with the joy of the Lord will lead to healing. You want miracles? Then start and laugh at the circumstances that the world will bring to you. Sarah laughed at the thought of a child at her age and look what happened after some hiccups. David danced with joy before the Lord. The walls of Jerihico came down to Music and a shout of Joy. The inhabitants of that city thought they were a load of nut cases! Until the walls came down. The Holy Spirit stormed into Hell and Laughed at Satan and then Jesus rose from the Dead!Amen to laughter.
The Church has let the world down. Why, Because it refused to laugh and preferred the doom and Gloom Brigade. Our God is full of Joy and laughter and he has been misrepresented. But listen, there is a wind of change coming. The Holy Spirit is smiling and laughing and the Joy of the Lord is returning and the signs and wonders that we all desire will come to pass. Why? The answer to that is joy and Laughter!.
