Worshipping God in daily devotion through prayer is a continual blessing received by our communion with him. When we devote time each day to prayer, we fulfill a covenant with God that builds our sense of trust in ourselves and in our connection with God. Through these times of prayer, we are also blessed by being in God’s presence-fully and completely.
Letting go of worries and letting God be the answer to problems is an act of worship. It shows our trust in God and prepares us for the wonder of his solution, as we wait patiently in faith. Sharing our faith with others, reveals the light of God within us, and brings glory to him.
Why should we worship God? He gives us our daily bread and provides all our needs. He forgives us no matter how many times a day we stray from his word. God provides comfort to us in times of trouble and grief. He nourishes our body and soul through his word. His grace lifts us up and keeps us alert and strong. His reassuring presence restores peace of mind. The love of God expressed throughout all creation enriches us. The unchanging source of all the love in the world is the steadfast love of God. He is in charge, and he maintains order in the universe and our life. God inspires us with the courage to believe, give, and expect the best. Why should we not worship God?
God is all there is, our refuge at all times and in all places. He is above, watching over us. He is below, supporting us. God is within us, beside us, behind us, and before us, guiding us on safe and secure pathways. We are held lovingly in the arms of his pure love. To bring him honor and as an expression of God’s love, we must be compassionate and caring people. With a grateful heart, we need to forgive others, as we worship God in thanksgiving for his forgiveness of our transgressions.
