TITLE: Well Water By Vanessa Severino 04/27/04 |

I learned the hard way, and let me tell you, it was the hard way, that if we seek to have our thirst quenched any other way, but His way, we will come up empty-handed and dying of thirst. Only by following His path, and doing things His way and in His timing, and with a touch of His living water to carry us through, will we never thirst again.
My problem was men. Whenever I was going through a real difficult time in my life, I would cling to a man, thinking that the comfort of being in his arms, would soothe all the pain. It never did, it just opened up new wounds for me to heal, when I was eventually rejected by these men, I gave to, but came out empty-handed, giving me new scars to heal. The scars that run so deep could only be taken care of by His living water, because well water could never do the job. The men were my well water, and those men, not only couldnt heal me, but opened up old wounds that just started to scab over. The pain of rejection runs real deep. But the good news is, we have a Jesus, that will never leave us or forsake us. His spring of living water never ever runs out, and for that, I will be thankful for Him all the days of my life. As long as I drink from His fountain, I will have all I need. He took me in just as I was, and cared for me, broken and all, and slowly but surely, replaced the broken pieces of my soul, I so freely gave others who instead of caring for it, crushed it, but He is my Healer, and He restores the joy back into my life, and made alive my spirit.
As long I drink the cup of His living water, I will never thirst again. He can and will provide. My prayer is that all people, lose a taste for well water, flowing from a river that will run dry, they would lose a taste for, and drop their buckets, and drink from His fountain, and tell others about the fountain, where one will never thirst again. God bless you!
