Creative, interesting, and engaging writing is what it's all about. I use my experiences to fuel my writing, but my versatility and experience in research allows me to write on a wide variety of topics.
My experience as a student and scholar at Houston Baptist University makes me well suited to pieces on education, while being a devoted Christian with an atheist past provides an important perspective to my Christian writing.
My interests in current news, technology, games, and important cultural issues allow for a range of writing on topics people are interested in right now.
As a husband and father of three, I have written on marriage and parenting. As someone who has lived in Europe and traveled in the Navy I can write from an international perspective, as well as that of a veteran.
Meanwhile I continue to engage in creative writing through poetry, short stories, and prose that comes from a variety of inspirations.

I'm currently researching public opinion on the horror genre in both secular and Christian cultures. Specifically, the idea of certain horror films, shows, and writings as valuable artistic works, versus the idea that these works create something that is inherently wrong and/or hurtful to society.
