Topic: From Law to Grace A Heart of Flesh 8/20 -8/27/26 (08/20/26)
My good friend in my youth and I used to attend a Pentecostal church in the country where we were born, Georgetown, Guyana, South America.

One day she told me that we are still under the law, and she decided to keep it as written in the Old Testament, expressing her conviction with passion. She was convinced of what she believed. But something in me didn't agree with what she was saying.

The Word of God came to my defence: "Therefore the law was our tutor to bring us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith." Galatians 3:24 (NKJV). This verse highlights the law's role in guiding us toward Grace and faith.

How could we live under the law when Grace has come? Christ fulfilled the law, and He brought us Grace and truth at the cross of Calvary, reminding us of God's unmerited love that invites us to feel valued and accepted in His presence. Grace brought a new dispensation into effect, and that is the dispensation of "Grace."

When the dispensation of Grace came into effect, the vilest thief at the cross, who deserved to die, recognized that Grace was hanging on the cross and cried out to Him, "Lord, remember me when You come into Your kingdom." Then Jesus said unto him, "Assuredly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise." Luke 23:42-43 (NKJV).

Because I have accepted what Christ did for me at Calvary, I now have a heart of flesh. I am no longer a slave to fear; I am a child of God. His Grace has transformed me, taking away my stubbornness and giving me a tender, compassionate heart. This change testifies to God's power and mercy to restore us.
