Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” John 14:6 (NKJV). Therefore, we must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and He will save us from our sins and give us eternal life. But I am not speaking on how to be saved from our sins. I am going in another direction as to how to be saved from our enemy, the devil, who is like a roaring lion seeking whom to devour.
As Christians, we are told in the Bible how to be saved from the devil's onslaught. The Bible instructs us in the book of Ephesians 6:13-18 (NKJV) “Therefore take up the whole armour of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Stand therefore, having girded your waist with truth, having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having shod your feet with the preparation of the gospel of peace; above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints--”
That’s the Word on how to be saved from the Devil and be overcomers in this generation.
Jesus overcame the devil by the Word—It is Written. And we also will be overcomers by the Word if we stay behind the Word. Faith in God’s Word will always empower us to stand firm against evil.
Jesus said in Revelation 3:21 (NKJV), “To him who overcomes I will grant to sit with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne.”
Thus, we are encouraged by the promise of victory having fled from the wrath to come.
