We live in a world full of signs and wonders. The Titanic's sinking is a powerful reminder that God's sovereignty surpasses human efforts, reinforcing our trust in His Word in every age. This should evoke a sense of awe and humility, encouraging us to rely on God's greater power rather than human pride.
For instance, when the world's marine experts in the 1900s believed they could build a ship, using their cunning craft, that could withstand any storm, they called it the Titanic. It was a lasting memorial to human pride, but ultimately, it proved that God's infallibility exceeds all human achievement. This should inspire humility and trust in God's sovereignty over our own efforts.
The Titanic was deemed "unsinkable" and the largest of its time. It sank on its first voyage on April 15, 1912.
With all the safety of the intelligence of the builders' cunning craft, their speech and talks and their scientific proofs that the ship could not sink, were presented to the people, and the people felt assured that everything would be alright.
About 2,208 passengers and crew boarded headed for their voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, United States. While they were crossing the ocean, feeling so secure that nothing could harm them, they were having a big party, and the bands began to whoop up, and they were having a blast, "a whoop-de-do," even the crew.
In their drunken stew, the ship plunged into the fog like “the master of the sea.” Suddenly, it struck an iceberg, reminding us that God's omnipotence alone can control all events, and down it went like a fallen star, the deadliest sinking of a single ship. Approximately 1,500 perished, and those saved lived to tell the story of God's saving grace. They discovered the wreck in 1985.
Let us invite Christ into the heart of our ship, trusting in His divine sovereignty to keep us firm and 'unsinkable,' so we can stand strong through life's storms and experience His protection.

Although this was a well-written piece, I wasn't sure if the story centered around the topic of craft but it could be because the Titanic was a craft.
This story engaged me from beginning to end.
