ADD TO MY FAVORITES
And I can’t reason how or why,
When I have worked for someone’s good,
And for that, I’m misunderstood,
When I am burdened down by grief
And sorrowful without relief,
When I’ve a great anxiety
For world conditions that I see,
When Satan lures me into sin
And temps me sorely to give in,
When I don’t know which path to take,
Or what decision I should make,
I’m not to worry or to stew,
For God’s with me. He’ll see me through.
Though things I cannot understand,
I’m sure He’ll hold me in His hand.
Each problem I give Him in prayer,
I trust Him, for I know He’ll care.
Then this thought makes me glad inside:
Within God’s favor, I abide.
I know not why God would select
One such as I for His elect.
His love for me's beyond all measure,
And for Him, I’m a chosen treasure.
