Through His wonderful creation.
His soft rain washes the world
To leave it clean and bright,
A brand-new earth,
With a freshness inside-out.
Rain from a dark-cloud sky
Leaves a marvelous, fresh scent,
An aura of newness.
His snowflakes fall softly
To drift across the land
And frost fields and forests
With the sparkle of crystal
Atop a fluffy white spread.
All dinginess is covered,
Making everything brand new.
When comes the spring,
His rays of sun
Blanket hills and hollows
With a vibrant verdancy.
Amid the green, thrives
A miraculous display
Of many-colored blossoms.
And I, like all of God’s creation,
Am made completely new.
Seeing my repentant heart,
He washes it clean of sin
And makes into purest white
The dinginess of my life.
The love He freely gives to me
And the light of His abiding presence
Bring sunshine to my soul.
