In my soul
But each time I have emerged whole
Thanks to the Lord
Who gives me strength
All the length
Of my days
Bruised and weary
Far beyond tired
But the Lord has inspired
Me to stay
The enemy does not have his way!
I have weathered losing jobs
Losing joy
Losing hope
Fear was a rope
Dragging me down
I have weathered
Friends turning to foes
And other such woes
But the Lord doesn’t leave me bereft!!
He has never left
Me
With the friends in my church
I am not left in the lurch
They support me in prayer
And remind me
God is always there
Holding me up
My cup
Is full
I am not alone
He is always with me
And that sets me free
From fear
I have weathered many a storm
But the Lord keeps me warm
In my heart
Let the praises start!
