With power from God above,
And every promise that He’s made,
He gives to me in love.
I sense He’s always near at hand.
The times when I can’t see.
Which path ahead that I should take,
I’m sure that He’ll guide me.
When there’s a task He’d have me do,
He’s right there by my side.
From Him comes strength to get it done
As with Him, I abide.
Though I might stumble on my way,
He will not let me fall.
He sees each sin that I might make,
And He forgives them all.
It’s true, I want to be near God
And to be like His Son,
For Jesus acted here on earth
With love for everyone.
He’s with me when my days are dark.
We’re never far apart.
I will not fear because my faith
Is bolted to God’s heart.
