But praise God, who is all omnipresent
He helps us each day
If we remember to pray
For His aid
We scurry
And we hurry
And we worry
But where does that take us
What does that then make us
Into?
I spend my days with the future looming
My thoughts go racing
My thoughts go zooming
So many things to do
My life is a zoo!
Lord, today is a present from You
Help me to live in tune with what is true
Not to dwell on the past
Not to dwell on the future
As I try to suture
My broken dreams
Or so it seems
It’s so easy to live in regret
But that will never get
Us where God wants us to go
As we face what each new day does hold
Give us the fire to make us more bold
Each day is a present from the hand of God
Though I’ll admit He sometimes must prod
Me to see it
To watch the sun rise
With brand new eyes
To always be ready for the surprise
Of each new day
Lord thank you for this gift
As now I do lift
My hands in praise to You.
