As Christians, we can take comfort in knowing that God is always present in our lives, regardless of our circumstances. His word assures us in Hebrews 13:5 (NKJV), "I will never leave you nor forsake you." This unchanging truth should bring us a sense of security and peace, as we make a conscious decision to accept and welcome His presence.

Likewise, Satan, who is also called the devil, is also present. From the beginning, in the Garden of Eden, Satan, disguised as the serpent, was used as a symbol of deception. The serpent, in its subtilty, deceived Eve and caused her to disobey God's command not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of Good and Evil. When she did, she introduced sin and suffering into the world. Ever since God's creation suffered and died because of Eve's disobedience.

But God in His love and mercy made the way for man's deliverance from sin, and that way is Jesus Christ, who came on earth and died for our sins, and set us free from the power of sin in our lives. The Bible tells us that heaven rejoices over one sinner who repents from his wicked ways. This joy in heaven should remind us of the love and acceptance that God offers us, no matter our past mistakes.

As we walk with God, the glory of the Lord is present in our midst, and that glory enables us to walk in the “present truth” that He has given to our generation. The Bible contains all truth, but God reveals it steadily throughout history. What is considered the "present truth" for one generation may not be the same for another, as God constantly sheds new light on His word. That gives us the power to overcome the devil and to live a victorious life in Christ Jesus.

In the Book of Revelation, we see the serpent, that ancient serpent called the devil, leading the whole world astray by his deception. But thanks to the Lord's deliverance, we are now walking in the light of His Word. This victory over the enemy, achieved through Christ, should fill us with a sense of empowerment and hope as we continue our journey in His light.
