By many is denied,
But through a search within God’s Word,
The truth is verified.
Found in Isaiah’s prophecy,
This promise was foretold:
Emanuel is God with us.
The story did unfold.
Announcement came to Mary that
She’d give birth to a Son
And He’d be called the Son of God.
His story was begun.
The Savior told His Disciples
Not only that He is the Son,
But truth to end all searches is
That He and God are One.
“Messiah, Son of Living God”
Was Peter’s declaration,
And even demons recognized
This rousing affirmation.
John saw God’s glory in His Son,
For He had dwelt with them.
He said God’s mercy and His truth
Were also seen in Him.
That God was His own Father
The Lord would often say.
And if a person would seek God,
Through Him’s the only way.
The time when Jesus was baptized,
The voice of God was heard,
He called Him His beloved Son,
And that’s the final word.
