In gentle, kindly voice.
She understood from his clear tone
That he’d made her his choice.
Their meet was at a small café,
When love was just a seed.
With smiles and quiet chats, it grew
And flourished like a weed.
Then, as they met each week for brunch,
They talked about their lives,
And how as they apply God’s Word,
Their hope of heaven thrives.
Since this café had been the place
Where their love had begun,
He found it right to tell her there
That his heart had been won.
His loving look and manner, kind,
Appealed to her completely.
When he proposed on bended knee,
She answered “yes” quite sweetly.
When they met there to discuss plans
For wedding and times, later,
She shared with him how glad she was
He’d been the one to date her.
Then through the years, when they’d return
Where it had all begun,
They’d bring their children, one by one,
Two daughters and a son.
