One night, she found herself in prayer, seeking guidance. In the stillness, she heard a whisper, not audible but felt deep within her spirit, “Go forth and share my love through your voice.” It was a divine calling to reach beyond her beauty business, beyond her local church, to the ends of the earth. The next morning, she awoke with an idea blossoming in her mind – a vlog ministry.
Maris started small, sharing testimonies of faith, Bible studies, and personal reflections on scripture. But her heart was particularly drawn to India, a land with a vast tapestry of cultures and needs. She knew of the poverty, lack of access to necessities, and spiritual hunger there. After researching and praying, she decided to focus her vlog on India.
She contacted local missionaries in India, asking for their help connecting with those in need. Her first video dedicated to India was simple. In it, she spoke from her heart about the love of Christ and the hope of salvation, sharing stories of miracles she’d seen in her life and business.
Through the vlog, Maris began to mentor young women who lived in villages where poverty was as common as the dust on the roads. These women shared their struggles via video messages, and Maris, in turn, provided spiritual guidance and prayer and taught them how to start a small Bible study group in their communities.
Maris organized virtual prayer meetings and live Bible studies tailored to the Indian context and even started a fund where her followers could contribute to help with necessities like food, clean water, and education supplies.
Maris’s vlog wasn’t just about broadcasting; it was about building relationships. She has mentored young leaders, helping them to start their own ministries and providing them with the tools to preach, teach, and live out the Gospel in their communities.
Maris knew this was her mission field right from her home in Boerne. She has touched lives across the globe because she listened to the gentle whisper of God’s call.
Her ministry through the vlog has become a beacon of light for thousands of poor Indians. It isn’t just about bringing them to faith but also showing them how to live it out in practical, loving ways. Today, the vlog has become a vessel for more than just words; it carries hope.
A true story – the name has been changed.
