I’m not ugly or unable to speak, and I’m certainly not stupid or aggressive, but people kept on avoiding me.
I tried learning different languages and I even visited places where those languages were used every day, so I might get a bridge across to other cultures, but without any success.
I took courses in all kinds of subjects, so that I might hold people’s interest and show my respect for their knowledge or their expertise – if a conversation might happen to occur. But no luck there…
I’ve always used breath freshener and deodorant, but nobody ever came too close to see if they were working.
But then a breakthrough came - with world-wide potential. Why hadn’t I thought of it before?
The internet!
Now I could set up a web page and post ideas and information, news items and analysis, and even share interesting posts that other people had sent – taking care to give them due recognition. But nobody replied to all my vlogs.
I posted relentlessly, but even the vlogs that included pictures that could clarify any confusion - or explain details that might be hard to verbalize - got no replies.
At my wits end, I made an appointment with a psychiatrist – my first opportunity for a one-on-one conversation - and I poured out all the details to him.
When I finally finished, his simple reply was, “Could I please see my next patient?”
That was when I finally realized that I had been vlogging a dead horse!
