Of those He gave great wisdom.
King Solomon, had more than most,
Though times he did not use some.
One man, insightful, with great faith,
Was Father Abraham.
Another, Moses, led his tribe
Into the Promised Land.
Young Joseph, father’s favorite,
By brothers was betrayed.
He showed a great discernment though,
With every choice he made.
Isaiah, with wise words from God,
Revealed His proclamation:
God is the only Lord of all
For every single nation.
Our Lord increased, while yet a child,
In wisdom and in stature.
The grace of God was on Him then -
Divine and human nature.
Lord, give me wisdom for the tasks
That You’ve prepared for me.
Then help me to perform them all
With good ability,
I know that You will lead the way
With wisdom from on high.
I pray that I will do my best,
Till comes my time to die.
