Our Father Below has calmed down some since the last time I emailed you. Oh my goodness, he was about to have my guts for garters but then was called away to help those nitwits who handle church splits. I would not want to be any of them right now.
I must say I was happy to receive your last email. You have redeemed yourself in my eyes, and your new patient is coming along nicely. And she’s an ‘influencer’? Wow! You are on Easy Street with her. This new type of delusion plays right into our hands, and with luck, you can keep her on the broad path for yonks* to come.
There is one tool in the belt of sin that I think might work well with her, and that is violation. I know, I know, your mind immediately leapt to all the awful things violation means, but let me spill the tea on this: violation, when done right, is like this intricate dance that requires serious skill and finesse. We’re not just talking about getting your human to blatantly break the rules; that’s too obvious and often backfires big time. Nah, we’ve got to be sneakier than that. It's all about slowly chipping away at her moral foundation while making her think she's actually doing the right thing. It's like planting little seeds of corruption in her mind and watching them grow into a tangled mess of self-righteousness.
Let’s chat about honesty for a moment. It’s like this impenetrable fortress standing between us and those blasted humanoids. Instead of pushing your mortal to spin outright lies, why not nudge her toward the art of half-truths and strategic omissions? These influencer people, from what I can see, do this all the time. Convince her that keeping specific details under wraps isn’t really lying; it’s just being savvy in a world where deceit runs rampant. This way, you’re dismantling her integrity brick by brick, all while she blissfully remains clueless about her moral downfall.
Also, don’t underestimate the power of self-justification. Humans possess an astonishing capacity to rationalize their actions, no matter how heinous they may seem to an objective observer. Exploit this weakness to your advantage. Plant the seed of doubt in your patient’s mind, convincing her that her desires and ambitions outweigh any moral considerations. Encourage her to view herself as a victim of circumstance, forced to compromise her values in the face of adversity. The media in Europe and the Americas have really carried the water for us on this one – all these talks of reparations and people self-segregating play directly into our hands. I must send Succubus an email congratulating him on this strategy.
Violation, done right, can be darn right sneaky and goes beyond just messing with your creature's moral compass. It's like this big, tangled web that stretches out to society, too. You know, make her feel like she’s some kind of VIP entitled to all sorts of perks just because she is an influencer. And hey, why not encourage her to see people who aren't as lucky as her as nothing more than hurdles to jump over? Forget about empathy or kindness; it’s all about looking out for number one. It's not just about messing with her head; it's about spreading that toxic mindset to everyone around her, making the whole world a little darker in the process.
Above all, remember that violation is not a one-time event but a gradual process, one that requires patience and persistence to achieve. Do not be discouraged by setbacks or apparent failures; use them as opportunities to refine your tactics and redouble your efforts. And never forget the ultimate goal: to drag your patient down into the depths of despair and depravity, where she will be forever beyond the reach of redemption.
